Circular Flow in a Periodontic Office

In this 3,965-square-foot periodontics office, a central flow around sterilization and imaging creates seamless circulation for both the dental team and patients for ideal practice efficiency. Soffits throughout also add a warming element and aid in sound-absorption to maximize comfort for an individual’s experience.

Public Zone

Patients are greeted on arrival by a large waiting area featuring various seating options and a beverage station to the left of the reception. This business office contains a large check-in counter with a business manager’s office concealed behind a sliding door to the left for easy access. Behind check-in is a dedicated check-out zone for those exiting treatment. The check-out zone contains two workstations with bench seating nearby.

Clinical Zone

Moving through the clinical doors from reception, an imaging alcove and consult room are near the entrance for convenience. The consult is set up with a modest desk and guest chairs and connects to a fully-equipped treatment room with sliding glass doors. This is ideal for a first-time appointment and treatment planning.

Further into the clinical zone, treatment rooms are positioned around the dual-entry sterilization center. There is also easy-access cart-docking on the hall side of sterilization to support treatment procedures. All rooms are set up identically with toe-entry. In addition, this office also holds a large multipurpose treatment room which has a counter that can be pushed up or down to accommodate longer conversations or increased space. Nearby this central hub is the lab with a viewing window to showcase the investment made in technology.

Private Zone

The private zone is located behind the business office, separated from the main path of patient travel. This area contains a private office, staff lounge, changing room with washer and dryer, lockers for personal storage, and an ADA restroom.
